San Elijo State Beach Campground
San Elijo State Beach Campground is located on the beach between Cardiff by the Sea and Solana Beach. This San Elijo Campground is on a bluff above a sandy beach, which provides a haven for snorkels, surfers and scuba divers. This campground is 3/4 mile north from San Elijo Lagoon's entrance channel and is similar to Carlsbad State Beach Campground. San Elijo State Beach Campground is near Cardiff Beach restaurant row, which offers a wide range of food. It’s also close to the Del Mar fair/race track which in the summer time has a complete fair and horse races.
The park offers, wi-fi, showers, restrooms, dump station, surfing, fishing, scuba diving, beach front sites, convenience store, swimming, fire pits, laundry and other amenities. Some sites at San Elijo Campgound offer full hookups which has electric, sewer and water, these sites are located on the inland and beach side area. Also, dumpsite sites at San Elijo Campground has easy access.
The San Elijo RV Campground Store operates during the busy season. When the store is closed, firewood must be purchased outside the campground.
San Elijo Campground fees range between $ 25.00 and $ 44.00 per night, the fee includes one trailer and one vehicle. Their Park Kiosk Hours are: Hi season 7 am - 10 pm. Lo season 7 am - 8 pm. You can make reservations up to seven months in advance for San Elijo Campground at: Reserve America. In addition to the campsite fee, an additional $7.50 for processing a reservation by Reserve America.,
San Elijo State Beach is some what secluded, because of the high bluffs. You can access the beach either at the north end of the San Elijo State Beach Campgrounds, along a staircase, and at the southern end near the entrance to the San Elijo Lagoon. San Elijo State Beach runs besides Coast Highway 101, about 1/2 mile from Cardiff-by-the-Sea.
Exit Interstate 5 at Encinitas Blvd, head west. Turn LEFT on So. Coast Hwy. Follow the Coast Highway south, about 2 miles.

Reservation Sale Dates:
On the first of each month, campers will have access to an entire month of available start dates, up to 7 months in advance. Count the month you are in as month number one. For instance, if you count September as the first month you can make reservations for all dates beginning in March
Online reservations are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Reservations can be made 7 months in advance on the first day of the month beginning at 8:00 a.m. PST via the website or by calling 1-800-444-7275.
